Hey Drumlets,
Just a little tip about getting the most out of your practice, which I tell my students they should do (but do they?…that’s another topic). Anyway, before practicing, write down what you are going to do and the amount of time you are going to do it. As you go down the list, keep track of tempos that you are able to execute the performance at (cleanly and precisely), and cross each task off the list. Use the timer to keep track of your assigned time lengths. This little pre-practice ritual will keep you focused, and if you are anything like me, you will need all the focus you can get! Okay, over and out and hope you are having a great Summer!
Time for a Timer (and a pen and some paper)
