Stanton Moore has announced the launch of a new cymbal company, Crescent. According to a recent Facebook post by the drummer, for some time he’s been a partner with Michael Vosbein, Jeff Hamilton, and Bill Norman in a company called Cymbal Masters, which for the past eight years has been distributing and marketing Bosphorus Cymbals. “That relationship has come to and end,” Stanton explains, “and we are starting our own brand with Crescent Cymbals.
“The cymbals are handmade in Istanbul, Turkey,” Moore continues, “and are as good as or better than what we were offering with Bosphorus. Crescent Cymbals will be available at select dealers starting early September.”
