Long Distance Lessons

LearnDrumsLive.com online drum lessons are taught using the Internet video calling service Skype. This service is free and easy to use. To download the Skype software necessary to take drum lessons, please visit  www.skype.com

Most computers that have been produced within the last few years have the processing power necessary for high quality video conferencing. For Internet connectivity, we highly recommend Cable, DSL, or any other high speed connection. Make sure your Web camera is of high quality. Mark uses a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000; so far he has been happy with it. It is worth the extra bit of money to get a webcam which has a quality lens, microphone, etc…

In order to take an online lesson at LearnDrumsLive.com, follow these simple steps:

  1. Contact us using the “Contact” page. Mark will recieve your responses and get back to you within 24 hrs.
  2. At that point , a time will be decided upon when a free ten minute consulation can take place.
    For Internet-based lessons, the consultation will mainly be to check internet compatibility and make sure that the audio and video communication is working properly, as well as to discuss the first lesson.
  3. From there you will schedule a lesson with Mark.  You can either decide to do so during the ten minute consultation or by following up with an email. Mark will confirm lesson date and times.
  4. 48 hrs prior to the lesson time, payment is due ($35 per one hour lesson) using Paypal. Lessons are non – refundable. If you do not have a Paypal account setup, please visit www.paypal.com for more information.  It is a safe and reliable way to transfer funds over the Internet.
